Times are changing and with changing times education policy too needs a new makeover. Before 2020 the aim of education was to develop only the cognitive skills -- both ‘foundational skills’ of literacy and numeracy and higher order skills such as critical thinking and problem solving. The NEP aims at developing the ‘soft skills’ that include social skills ,emotional skills, cultural awareness, empathy, perseverance, grit, leadership and communication .We followed the suit and are ready to adapt to the NEP 2020. Our curriculum includes pedagogy with 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 design covering children in the age group 3 to 18 years, reformed exam and assessment system, bulwarking teacher training, strengthening the use of technology and focus on vocational education among others.*
WHAT WE HAVE ON OUR AGENDA
Training of teachers on the new curriculum and education scheme
Organising professional development workshops for teachers
Access to technology
Access to library and computers
Removal of barriers such as bullying or discrimination
Offering a supportive learning environment
Making provisions for resources such as tutoring, mentoring and career development programs
